Thad Layton

MR. PALMER WAS THE FIRST IN THE MODERN ERA TO BE BOTH A TOURNAMENT CHAMPION AND A GOLF COURSE ARCHITECT.  IN 1972, HE STARTED HIS FIRST DESIGN FIRM AND RECEIVED THE DONALD ROSS AWARD FROM THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF GOLF COURSE ARCHITECTS FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE GAME IN 2002.  ALTHOUGH MR. PALMER ACTIVELY OVERSEES THE DAY TO DAY OPERATION OF HIS BUSINESS, SENIOR ARCHITECT THAD LAYTON HAS WORKED WITH JAQOR INTIMATELY OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS TO DESIGN A PATHLESS, EDIBLE COURSE WHICH WILL SURELY BE ACCLIAMED AS NOT ONLY A GREAT COURSE TO PLAY, BUT A ROLE MODEL IN SUSTAINABILITY- REINVENTING GOLF AS MANY KNOW IT.   HIS SCHEMATIC DESIGN INCLUDES 45 ACRES OF WATER FEATURES TO MITIGATE MANGROVE REMOVAL WHILE OFFERING EXCEPTIONAL KAYAKING GROUNDS AS WELL.
